Holiday Message from Chief Catlett

As I begin writing this year's holiday message, I am once again struck by how quickly 2016 has flown by.  It seems like it was just yesterday that I wrote the holiday message for 2015.

We have experienced another busy year at the Richmond Hill Fire Department and have done so without a serious injury to our personnel, our most precious resource. We take our obligation to serve very seriously and are proud of the services we provide to the citizens and visitors of the City of Richmond Hill.

This Christmas we will celebrate in any way we choose because of the men and women in our Armed Forces; those who are thousand miles away from home defending freedom and liberty.  Please keep these brave men and women in your thoughts and prayers during your holiday celebration.

Please take a moment during this holiday season to ensure that your holiday is safe.  Check your smoke detector, be fire safe with your holiday decorations and if drinking, remember to designate a driver.

We hope you will not need our services this holiday season, but we are here ready to serve; twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.

On behalf of all the members of the Richmond Hill Fire Department we want to wish you and your family a healthy, safe and happy holiday and may God bless in the coming year.

Happy Holidays,

Ralph Catlett
