                                                            CHILDRENS  FISHING  DERBY

   THE CITY OF RICHMOND HILL along with FORT MCALLISTER SPORT FISHING CLUB will be hosting a fishing derby Saturday, April 26th, in J.F. Gregory Park.  Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. There is a five fish limit per person; catch and release is strongly encouraged.

     Trophies will be given for the biggest fish caught in various children’s age groups up to age 15 and all registered participants will receive a medal. The event will take place rain or shine.  Weigh-in is at 11:00 – 11:30, trophies will be presented at 11:45. During this time a free lunch of hot dogs, chips and soda will be provided for registered participants by Fort McAllister Fishing Club.  THE EVENT ENDS AT NOON.

Honoring Our Military

The city hosts annual Memorial Day and Veterans Day ceremonies honoring our military. These events are held at the Veterans Monument.

July's Family Festival
The 2013 Family Festival takes place on  Saturday July 6TH. There is food, music, games and fireworks for all to enjoy. See the flyer for more complete information.

October's Seafood Festival
The Seafood Festival takes over J. F. Gregory for the entire third weekend every October. Every kind of seafood imaginable is offered as well as a midway, crafts and top level live entertainment. This event has become a regional favorite.

Holiday Season Entertainment
Richmond Hill kicks off the holiday season with the annual Chili Cook-off. We hunt the best in chili, offer crafts, sleigh rides and local entertainment (as well as Santa and Mrs. Claus) every year, followed by a holiday parade the next day.
