City Clerk Ursula Lee Retires After 30 Years of Service to City of Richmond Hill

Richmond Hill, Ga. – Ursula Lee, Richmond Hill city clerk, recently retired after 30 years of service to the City of Richmond Hill. Lee began her work in 1986 as a receptionist/senior clerk, and was promoted to assistant city clerk before becoming city clerk in 1997.

As city clerk, Lee managed administrative and office operations, assisted with finance and budgetary responsibilities, and maintained all official documents of the City including records, minutes, contracts, easements and lawsuits.

“Ursula has been a loyal employee, and for that we are grateful,” said Harold Fowler, Richmond Hill mayor. “For three decades, she has ably served the citizens of Richmond Hill and her retirement is well deserved.”

Lee, who earned a diploma from Draughon’s Business College, also received a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration and a Master of Public Administration degree from Ashford University in Clinton, Iowa. She served as president of the Georgia Municipal Clerk Association from 2010-2011, was awarded Georgia’s Clerk of the Year Award in 2007, and has been a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society since 2011.
