Notice of Service Change
City of Richmond Hill Switching Trash and Recycling Provider (Effective July 2, 2018)
The City is preparing to switch trash and recycling providers from Waste Management to Atlantic Waste Services, beginning the first week of July.
Throughout the remainder of June, residents are receiving new trash and recycling carts with information packets that outline scheduled pickup days and accepted recyclables. Yellow top is for recycling, and green top is for household waste. Some neighborhoods will have new collection days with Atlantic Waste.
Waste Management will remove their garbage and recycling bins after the final pickup. Even if you do not recycle, please put the cart out to the curb on your current pickup day to allow WM to remove it.
We anticipate that some recycle and trash carts will not make it to the curb on those days due to vacation and other situations. For those customers, the City’s new service provider, Atlantic Waste, will service those carts as they are seen on routes after the WM contract ends. Atlantic Waste will communicate to the City or WM when they see those carts, and Waste Management will schedule collection of those that are left over.
Yard waste collection will continue to be handled by EOM Operations, and pickup dates remain the same.
Additional updates and street schedules will be uploaded to the City’s website at www.RichmondHill-GA.gov and its FaceBook page @WeAreRichmondHill. If you have any questions or concerns, please call City Hall at (912) 756-3345.
Anyone with questions regarding Atlantic Waste’s pickup schedule or accepted recyclables, please contact them at (912) 964-2000 or visit their website.
