About the Department

The Park and Tree Department staff maintains the many beautiful parks and green spaces around the City of Richmond Hill. They cut grass, trim and remove trees and maintain the grounds and rental facilities in J. F. Gregory Park.

Department staff work hard to keep everything clean, beautiful, and ready to be enjoyed by the public.

Area Parks

Most of our parks are passive parks. Each offers something different. These are the parks owned and maintained by the City of Richmond Hill:

• Blueberry Park - 0.5 acres
• Boles Community Park - 5.0+ acres
• J. F. Gregory Park - 5.0+ acres
• Richmond Heights Community Park - 1.0 acre (newly refurbished in 2012)

J F Gregory Park Playground Renovations

The playground at J. F. Gregory Park recently underwent renovations and has now been re-opened. If you plan to visit our new facility, please be mindful of the COVID-19 playground guidelines. Thank you!
