  • Of Course! We're more than happy to show off our stations and equipment. Keep in mind that the firefighters are on duty, and may have to leave quickly at a moment's notice. If you plan to bring a large group (such as a school event), please call the fire department at 912-756-3749 to schedule a tour.

In addition to increasing your event's visibility by displaying our fire apparatus, we treat the event as an educational opportunity to discuss fire safety and prevention to everyone who attends.   • Your teen may have the permit for up to 2 years before it expires. However, in order to take the test for the class D license they must be violation free for 1 year and 1 day.

  • For the first 6 months, your teen is not permitted to drive with any non-family members in the vehicle. After the first 6 months, they are permitted to drive with 1 non-family member.

  • Teens cannot drive on a class D license between midnight and 6:00 am. No Exceptions!

  • Once your teen turns 18, they can apply for the class C license with the Department of Drivers Services. In order to be eligible for a class C license, your teen must be violation free for one year and one day. Please note, If your teen is 18 years old and driving with a class D license all of the restrictions still apply (i.e. Curfew and Occupant).

  • We do not offer water adjustments. However, your account is eligible for a 30-day sewer adjustment should you find and repair a leak. You will need to complete and return a Leak Adjustment Form and supply a receipt for repair to City Hall. Visit our Leak Adjustments page for more information.
